As provided for in the MFNCT Trust Agreement, the MFNCT is offering benefit programs to all Members of Michipicoten First Nation in the areas of education, health and home maintenance assistance for the 2024 Fiscal Year.
Each Member is eligible to apply for monetary benefits under ONE program during the period beginning January 1, 2024 and ending December 1, 2024. Any applications received after December 1, 2024 will not be reviewed. Benefits not collected from the 2024 Fiscal Year will not carry forward to 2025. All programs will be administered on a first come, first serve basis.
The disbursement of benefits will be approved at the following Board Meetings: September & December. Benefits will be made payable by cheque within one month following approval.

Distribution of benefits will be limited to $125,000 for the 2024 fiscal year to remain within budget limitations. Once this amount has been distributed, all programs will be closed. The total amount of distributed will be allocated in the following proportions:
- $5,000 to Membership Event Sponsorship Program
- $6,000 to High School Graduation Incentive Program
- $6,000 to Post Secondary Education Incentive Program
- $78,000 to Home Maintenance Program & Health Promotion Program
- $30,000 to MFNCT Annual General Meeting
