We are members of the Michipicoten First Nation (Gross Cap 49) located on the shoreline of Lake Superior.  The Michipicoten First Nation Community Trust was established through a Settlement Agreement with Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada to settle First Nations claims relating to the 1855, 1899 and 1900 Algoma Surrenders, the First Nation has received compensation from Her Majesty.  The MFNCT is to ensure that compensation is managed, invested prudently and shall ensure the benefit of the present and the future generations of the Members of Michipicoten First Nation. The Michipicoten First Nation Community Trust is intended to be used to provide social, economic and cultural benefits to all Members, no matter where they live, and to create a vibrant community so that any Member who wishes to do so may live, work or retire on the Reserve.

We encourage our visitors to take the time to explore the different areas of our website and learn more about trust history, find our quarterly newsletters, meet our trustees online and review membership services.

Take a moment to look through our photo gallery for regular updates of images from our office, our community and our annual general meetings. We offer a selection of Internet links to other valuable websites and if you feel like getting in touch with our staff or trustees we have all the necessary contact information.

Enjoy your journey!
